In the basic training 'IED-awareness' you will learn how to deal with the detection of a suspected IED (improvised explosive). After completing this basic training, you will know what an explosion is, what an IED is, how large a deposit must be and how to report this correctly to the responsible authorities. This training is suitable for persons who from their profession, think of; security guards, enforcers (BOA's), fire fighters and firefighters, police personnel, can be confronted with incidents in which (improvised) explosives are involved.
The basic training 'IED-awareness' takes 8 hours
The course can be given in both Dutch and English.

Due to the rapid changes in the world, safety is no longer a matter of course in the Netherlands either. Globalization and the disappearance of borders have increased the chance of an attack with improvised explosives.
Crowds, individuals (VIP), infrastructure and high-value objects (Botlek, drinking water sources, various events, train stations, airports, seaports, etc.) are targets that are generally in the minds of suspected terrorists, criminals and activists. By attacking these so-called targets, they disrupt a large part of Dutch society.
Where the government is increasingly insisting on a participatory society, it is important that private organizations, which increasingly take care of our security, have the right knowledge so that they can act correctly in situations with (improvised) explosives.
The IED-awareness training is provided by former employees and operators from the Explosives Clearing Service of the Ministry of Defense and an Israeli Counter Terrorism unit. The basic training 'IED-awareness' which is given on location Landgoed Beukbergen is in compliance with the guidelines set by the RIVM with regard to COVID-19!
