Due to the rapid changes in the world, safety is no longer a matter of course in the Netherlands either. Globalization and the disappearance of borders have increased the chance of an attack with improvised explosives.

Crowds, individuals (VIP), infrastructure and high-value objects (Botlek, drinking water sources, various events, train stations, airports, seaports, etc.) are targets that are generally in the minds of suspected terrorists, criminals and activists. By attacking these so-called targets, they disrupt a large part of Dutch society.

Where the government is increasingly insisting on a participatory society, it is important that private organizations, which increasingly take care of our security, have the right knowledge so that they can act correctly in situations with (improvised) explosives.
